CAFE ASSISTANT - TEMPORARY

Our Farm Shop Cafe opened in May 2023 to offer our home-made products in a great space with a decent cuppa.

The role and responsibilities will be:

• Grinding and brewing the coffee
• Creating well presented and tasty drinks
• Interacting with customers, providing them with great customer service
• Ensuring the Café area is kept clean and tidy.
• Taking orders and payments via our EPOS system and communicating orders with the team.
• Maintaining accurate records i.e. Fridge temperatures, cleaning records etc as appropriate.
• Preparation as required throughout the day & for the following day.
• Other jobs as directed by Café Leader.
• Closing down jobs at end of day

Part of your role will include helping the kitchen team (when required) with the prep and making the salads and pies that are sold on our deli and Café.

We have a vacancy of one/two days a week, working days may vary according to business need but as we are open 7 days a week (in all but two months of the year), a share of the weekends will very much be a part of it.

Due to seasonal variances, we tend to be busier in the summer months so flexibility to work extra days will be required (as well as covering holiday).

Experience of working in a similar environment and barista work would be an advantage although training will be given to the right candidate.

In view of our location - the ability to drive and access to transport would be beneficial.

Hourly Rate: £8.60 - £11.44 (Depending on age)
