This cider is named after the hamlet of Castledore and its adjacent Iron Age hill fort, 'Castle Dore', one of the most interesting and intensively studied Iron Age hill forts in Cornwall. The link is that the fort sits only some 200 metres from Fowey Valley's home orchard.
It is a wonderfully refreshing, medium dry, lightly carbonated cider with a beautiful straw colour. It is well balanced, very clean on the palate and low in tannin.
